[SOLVED] Forum keep logging me out

  • When logged in to the forums and going into messages and writing a private message to someone else and then clicking on the "Forum" link at the top I'm logged off. Could you please make the system instead of logging me off?

    Also... often when I click on attached images I get a second login even though I'm already logged in.

    These re-logins are pretty annoying. I have tested under both Firefox and IE6 on Windows XP.


  • I'll look into it tonight when i get home from work. Can you just not put in the www for today till I figure out how to rewrite it off.

  • Still same problem! I might have found the bug.... but you'll have to solve it ;)

    1) I go to www.extjs.com/forum
    2) Login with my username and password
    3) I'm redirected to www.extjs.com/forum/index.php
    4) I click on "Forum" at the top which will take me to extjs.com/forum/ (notice no 'www.'!)

    I know I shouldn't have to use www in front of domain names... but soooo many sites still can't open if I don't so I'm used to put it in.... :D

    PS. I'm also having this issue often when clicking on image attachments, so please take a look at what URL is auto-generated there too.


  • I am currently having no problems on FF2.0 and IE7 on my XPsp2 machine.

    Can anyone else confirm this problem?


  • Sure... and thanks! I will leave the www part out today.

    Maybe you could just make a rewrite rule that redirects anyone with a www-part to a non-www-part.

  • There was definitely something odd happening - not sure if it was the site in general or just the forum - couldn't even bring the forum up. It seems to have resolved since about 10:15 CST
